Unsigned files - There is unsigned software installed. These issues do not need immediate attention but they may indicate future problems. Poor performance - EtreCheck report took over 10 minutes to run. No Time Machine backup - Time Machine backup not found. I am at wits end as to what the root cause of slow performance.Īnything that appears on this list needs immediate attention. I have seen EtreCheck posts with late 2009 models that had a better performance. This is a late 2013 iMac and I feel like the poor performance is software driven.

My iMac is all stock, I was reading that I could improve my performance by swapping out HHD to SSD but I would like to avoid making mods to hardware as this model would need to be taken apart, no easy access. I've been lurking on support website and I have tried reseting PRAM and System Management Controller without any improvement in performance.

I use my iMac primarily for web, email, youtube nothing that would require lots of power and performance. I am getting major beach balling every time I click around. It take about 5-7 mins to load to desktop and even clicking links and switching apps is painfully slow. I was hoping to enjoy a new Mac but I am truly disappointed because its running slower than any other device I have ever owned.
